Wild woman

This is a new concept, moving on or rather along side  my portraits of people I know, celebrities and myself.

Fantasy, drama,
theatre and playfulness were  the ideas in my head. The mask is mine, I bought it in Venice about 15 years ago. It has real lustre black and brownish feathers . I always loved it and imagined wearing it at a Venitian ball.
I created the drawing from a photograph of myself wearing the mask. It was a starting point and didn't intend to create a portrait of myself , although there is an inevitable likeness.

It is charcoal and pastel on greyish paper. 23 x 16.5 inches
